This course is based on the curriculum of ECREEE module 5. This module aims to master the installation of cables, connectors and protective devices for PV systems. This competence is divided into seven sub skills which are shown in the course overview. After the completion of the course, the students will have knowledge on current carrying capacity and the implications for proper cable selection, demonstrating the calculation and measurement of voltage drop in a conductor, applying voltage drop and current carrying capacity calculations to select appropriate cables for a stand-alone PV energy system, performing safe techniques for laying, securing and terminating cables, and also labeling, installing and terminating electrical wiring, verify proper connections, continuity, voltage and polarity relationships.
